  • BBC world news:

BBC world service is the largest news service in the world. BBC broadcasts radio and television news, speech, analysis and discussion in 29 languages. BBC was launched on December 29, 1932. In the beginning it has other names i.e BBC Empire Service, BBC Overseas Service, External Service of the BBC. Headquarter of BBC is former Bush House London, now Called Broadcasting House London. Director of BBC right now (10-07-2017) is Fran Unsworth.

The BBC World Service when began in 1932 as the BBC Empire Service, broadcasting on shortwave and aimed principally at English speakers across the British Empire. In his first Christmas Message, King George V stated that the service was intended for “men and women, so cut off by the snow, the desert, or the sea, that only voices out of the air can reach them.” First hopes for the Empire Service were low. The Director General, Sir John Reith (later Lord Reith) said in the opening programme: “Don’t expect too much in the early days; for some time we shall transmit comparatively simple programmes, to give the best chance of intelligible reception and provide evidence as to the type of material most suitable for the service in each zone. The programmes will neither be very interesting nor very good.” This address was read out five times as it was broadcast live to different parts of the world.

  • Fox News:

Fox News is a television news channel based in USA. FOX News Channel (FNC) is a 24-hour all-encompassing news service dedicated to delivering breaking news as well as political and business news.  It is owned by Fox Entertainment Group. It was founded on October 1996. Fox New Channel was founded by  Roger Ailes, Rupert Murdoch. Its CEO is Rupert Murdoch since July 21, 2016. As the founder and the current CEO of Fox news is affiliated with Republican Party, Fox New is accused of it biased reporting against the rest of the parties and promoting Republican Party. The critics say that it has spoiled the sanctity of journalism.

  • Aljazeera (JSC/ Jazeera Satellite Channel):

Aljazeera is Qatar based Television Channel founded by Hamad bin Khalifa Althani in November 1996. It is owned  by Aljazeera Media Network and this news channel is funded by Qatari Government. Aljazeera, in the beginning relayed its service in Arabic Language, but later on in 2006 Aljazeera started its English service. Aljazeera also lauched in UK London in 2013. Aljazeera began its live streaming on Youtube in 2015. Aljazeera is the only impartial and unbiased news channel in the Middle East. Aljazeera is liked by Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries. It is also not liked by America, because of the accusation of supporting Taliban Groups and other Islamist Mujahideen. But this is just a blame, and It does not have any truth.

  • CNN:

CNN stands for Cable News Network. CNN is American basic and satellite television news channel owned by the Turner Broadcasting System. Ted Turner laid the foundation of CNN in 1980. It is 24 hour cable news service. Its headquarter in Atlanta, Georgia and United States. CNN.com relies heavily on CNN’s global team of almost 4,000 news professionals. CNN.com features the latest multimedia technologies, from live video streaming to audio packages to searchable archives of news features and background information. The site is updated continuously throughout the day.

  • Sky News:

Sky News is an Australian cable news channel. Its foundation was laid on February, 1989.  Sky News is a 24-hour international multimedia news organisation based in the U.K. Originally a 24-hour television news channel, Sky News currently provides news on television, online, and on a range of mobile devices.

  • MSNBC: 

Tom Rogers founded MSNBC in 1996, in New Jersey , USA. Its is also a cable news channel. It telecasts 24 hour news and current affairs programs. Independent and deep analysis are conducted.

  • Euronews:

Euronews was created in 1993. It is a multilingual news channel which presents news and current affairs in all the languages spoken in Europe. Its headquarter in Lyon France.

  • Al-arabia: 

It is pan-arab television news channel based in Dubai and owned by Saudi Arabia, which was established in 2003. It is considered as competitor to Aljazeera. This channel is Pro-Saudi Arabia and owned by Middle East Broadcasting Center.

  • Geo News: 

Geo News comes 9th in ranking. Geo News is a television news channel based in Pakistan and owned by Jung Group. Geo News was launched in 2004. Geo News has its further sub-channels i.e GEO Entertainment, GEO News, GEO Kahani, GEO Super (Sports) and GEO Tez (Comedy).Geo news was banned in 2014 by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority due to criticism on some honorable government organisations. But later on Geo New apologized and it was reopened.

  • NDTV India:

NCTV India is Indian based TV channel launched in 2003. It presents its services in Hindi language. In June 2016 NDTV started to launch its separate channels, NCTV India and NDTV Spice in UK. Its headquarter is in New Delhi.
